Joint workshop on “Measurement and characterisation of nanoparticle emissions from powertrains”
We cordially invite you to the “Measurement and characterisation of nanoparticle emissions from powertrains” workshop, to be held in Thessaloniki, Greece, on October 9-10, 2018. The workshop is jointly organized by the three EU H2020 nanoparticle projects: DownToTen, PEMs4Nano and Sureal-23. The meeting will be held at the Research and Dissemination Center of the Aristotle University.
Partners from related EU projects on advanced engine development will be presenting their work as well, including DiePEr, EAGLE, PAREGEN, THOMSON and UPGRADE. We also expect representatives from EU institutions (DG Research, INEA, EGVIA, EUCAR, ACEA), as well as from the US and Japan, to participate.
At the meeting we will show our most recent findings on nanoparticle emissions, with focus on the sub-23nm particles. We hope to create future research exchanges and collaborations for innovative projects for clean engines, and identify opportunities for taking benefit of the research results.
The keynote speaker will be Prof. Flemming Cassee, toxicologist at the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). Each session will address several thematic questions posed by the participating researchers and will be coordinated by invited speakers, experts in the specific research field. We also foresee a parallel session that will include poster presentations.
Participation is free of charge. Details for registration and abstract submission will follow in the next weeks. We look forward to seeing and welcome you all in Thessaloniki in October 2018!
